She brought joy to our lives and asked for nothing in return. Just happy to see us, and go out for a run. She followed us everywhere, we even took her to France. She knew our body language inside out.
Big nose, we called her, affectionately of course. I’ll never forget the sound of her paws. Slipping and sliding on the wooden floors, those sounds are now gone, not heard anymore.
The empty collar, the redundant lead. The forgotten water bowl, the half bag of feed. The dog bed, the blanket, the scratches on the walls. The memories of great times. Thank you for them all.
